Hi, I’m Dustin. A dad, hunter, and sports loving father who believes the best lessons in life are learned outdoors and on the field.
DadFieldGuide started from a simple idea- that hunting, sports, and outdoor life aren’t just hobbies, they’re tools for raising strong, responsible kids.
I’ve spent years hunting deer with both bow and rifle, taking several hog hunting trips, and chasing opportunities to hunt game like antelope and other species. Hunting has taught me patience, discipline, and respect. Lessons I’m committed to passing down to my kids.
Along with hunting, sports play a big role in our lives. Whether it’s throwing a ball in the yard, learning teamwork, or showing up to support your kids from the sidelines, sports teach confidence, discipline, and resilience that can carry into adulthood.
Right now, I’m raising a 4-year old and a two year old, with twins on the way in July. Life is busy, loud, and sometimes chaotic- but it’s also full of chances to build traditions that last generations.
This blog isn’t about being perfect. It’s about learning as we go, making mistakes, and figuring out how to raise kids who appreciate hard work, responsibility, teamwork, and the outdoors.
